St. Patty's Day Parade

As promised here are my favorite pictures that came from the photoblogger's outing at Maxwell Street Market last month. It is one huge garage sale of EVERYTHING, yes even the kitchen sink. Check out the few oddities found below - I laughed when I saw a bloody Chucky doll. I didn't dare ask the price, the way it was displayed was more like a scarecrow scaring everyone away, except the evil kid smiling in front it. heheh!

I'm Baaaack!

It feels so good to be home. I've returned home after a two week vacation from Mexico exhausted. I realized I forgot to post the pictures from the Irish parade and Maxwell street flea market outing. Tomorrow will be a long day of postings. I will post a few of the pics from my Mexico trip as well.

Sunday Outings

I had an eventful weekend this week. The weather was a bit chilly but I ventured out anyway. I met up with some fellow photographer hobbyist on Sunday and roamed Maxwell street market. It was a small fun little group, thanks for letting me join guys.

Later in the day I was able to make it to the St. Patrick's Day Parade on the South Side of Chicago. I had a good time and was intoxicating-ly joyful :) I will post some photos of the parade on Wednesday here and a few of the Street market in the Chicago Photos section. - Stay tuned!

Lincoln Park Church

I don't know the name of this church but I had to pull over and take a picture of it. I like the architecture of many church building but with the reflection of the sunset against it, this one just called to me.

Night Settings

I finally discovered the ENV setting of my camera and now know how to get rid of that flare from direct lights at night. Well at least I can dim them down a bit. Call my corny but this is exciting to me :)

Drive-by Photography

I took a nice drive through the Chicago loop today. The day was nice, tomorrow is expected to be warmer. I've added more pictures to my Chicago Photoblog. I'm officially addicted to these drive-by photography shootings :).

Scent Addict

Another addiction I have besides music and photography is perfume. I stopped by the perfume stand at the mall to get a wiff of the new scents out in the market right now. MMMmmm smelled so good!

Water Fountain

I hit Chicago Ridge Mall again this weekend. In the midst of our shopping spree I took a break and sat down next to the water fountains that looked more like sprinkler systems. This was my first attempt at capturing water. I've always been a bit intimidated and suspected blurriness because of the rapid free flowing motion of water. I took a couple shots and waited to see the outcome when I returned home. What do you think?

Warm Day in Winter

Today was such a nice day, definitely warmer and sunnier than the previous cold and rainy days that we had this weekend. They actually gave me a cold that I am now trying to fight off. As I waited for the light to turn green, after I exited the expressway, I took a moment to roll down my window and admire the sunset.

The Snow Falls Over the Snowman

The snow will melt this weekend when the Chicagoland area may possibly hit the 50 degree mark. Soon we will have to say goodbye to our cute snowman that my siser and nephew created last week.
