Holiday Fun in Lockport, IL

This Saturday it was just my nephew and I, enjoying the Jingle Festival in Lockport Square. We enjoyed the activities in Santa's workshop, posing with the reindeers and having a nice cup of hot chocolate as the Christmas carolers sang many Christmas Jingles.© 2005 Araceli Arroyo photograph

Chicago Night Skyline

On a beautiful night like tonight the skyscrapers tower over the Chicago River and provide a beautiful skyline view. The view here can be seen over the Clark Avenue Bridge heading towards Wacker Blvd.

My Autumn Hike

About two weeks ago, before my hectic schedule, I took Charlie to our favorite forrest trail. I'm glad I made the time and went, because the weather now is too cold to stay outside for long. On this day we were out for a few hours. I loved walking through the fallen leaves and seeing the reflection of the bright colors over the water.

New York - Central Park

I've been rather lazy to post the pictures that I took of New York in the NYC section of my photoblog. Actually that happens to me every time I come back from a trip. I snapped many pictures that I will gladly look back an reminisce the many walks I took on this trip. As I'm sure I've mentioned somewhere before, my absolute favorite thing to do when in Manhattan is to take a stroll through a new spot in Central Park. This time the spot was in the upper west side. I couldn't spend as much time as I wanted, because I had to leave that day. When I have time I usually sit down a read for a long while. This time I only took pictures and wrote a bit. I like parks, I'm sure you might have noticed that from my many post of the surrounding forrest preserves in Chicago :) Here are my favorite shots from Central Park.

Grand Central Station

It amazes me that no matter what time Grand Central Station has many people walking its corridors. This picture was taken during the afternoon non-peak hours. I later came back during rush hour and the halls were packed! I didn't want to be another tourist blocking the way, so I opted not to take a picture at that time.

NYC Here I am Again

I didn't think I would make my yearly trip to New York this year. Luckily my company sent me to a conference in NY, so here I am. I had about two hours and I walked a few blocks and of course took pictures :)

Gwen Stefani Concert

In July I bought myself tickets to the Gwen Stefani & Black Eyed Peas Concert as a gift to myself for my birthday. The date arrived and my sister and I went this Friday. THANK YOU ME! I loved the concert. Below are a few pictures of Gwen. I'll post a few of Black Eyed Peas soon.
