Chicago White Sox Parade Photos

The City of Chicago celebrated the victory of the Chicago White Sox with a ticker tape parade this past Friday. The streets were packed with fans and Chicagoans enjoying a once in a life time style celebration. The White Sox players rode in a motorcade of Double-Decker tour buses through the city. The route started from the home of the White Sox - Cellular field through the streets of the loop, ending in a joyous pep rally at the corner of Wacker and LaSalle. I was fortunate to have the parade pass right in front of my office building. All I had to do is go down the elevator and walk to the street to get a great view...

Pumpkin Carving Event

I went to a halloween pumpkin carving event at a bar on the north side of the city. It was fun, I was amazed at the talent in some artistic renderings on these pumpkins. Not mine of course, I only carved a pumpkin once in third grade. Others clearly must have a few years of practice, at least at sculpting something.

Petting Zoo

Forgive me all you animal activist, I just couldn't help giving into a local petting zoo at a nearby park this past Sunday. My nephew was so excited and happy to be in the midst of so many cute furry creatures. I couldn't help it either they were just so darn cute! I was particularly fond of the Lama and her beautiful big brown eyes :)

The Race Track

This weekend I went to the tracks and bet on the horses - Yehaahh. UNTIL, I lost. We got to the track late and only were able to bet on two races. Oh well, at least I didn't lose much at all. It was nice seeing the horses and thrilling to think your horse will place. I like horse racing, unfortunately I haven't gone much. I think I'll go again soon.

Finally Some Relaxing

Yesterday I took a drive to Montrose Harbor, the other side of the beach. I use to do this often, when gas prices were less expensive. I would love taking a walk along the piers and sit on the ledge and just absorb the wind that breezed across the lake and admire the skyline view. Here are few pictures of the skyline, boats and people I came across.
